But At Least You See It Comin'..... [The Adventures of Handyman]
Yesterday The Hub was eating his lunch before he went in to work at The Depot, and he usually likes to watch a little television. So he turned on the National Geographic station, and there was a program about great white sharks. Turns out they travel around a lot more than people thought.
People don't know all that much about great white sharks, mostly because the average person is trying to get AWAY from a great white shark when they see one. Many people feel that all they need to know about sharks is that they have a significant amount of teeth, and thus...
respect and "space" are the names of the game when it comes to human/shark interaction.
However, our intrepid band of scientific types went out in a fairly little boat to try to put a radio tag on a great white shark. Of course, the shark that took their bait wound up being huge, even for her species. She was so big that when she realized that she'd been hooked and began to dive the boat took on a little water, and additional problems developed from there.
"Those people are crazy" The Hub said, finishing his sandwhich.
"Oh, I don't know. I'd rather do that than have an office job."
"Hmm. Good point. At least in their field you know who the shark is."
