91% [Office Space]
One down, one to go. I passed the first of the two in-service course tests earlier this afternoon. I got a 91%.
The HR representative said that they don’t receive the percent score, they just get a pass/fail grade. I’m not sure I believe that. After all, it was in the e-mail the test agency sent to me, it seems bizarre that they wouldn’t inform the company. But maybe they don’t.
Anyway, it surprised the heck out of me. I found the test difficult, as if it was focusing on the parts of the course that were the least relevant to the overall concepts covered. I felt as if I had to answer a lot of the questions by process of elimination: “well, if a,b, and c can’t be right then the answer has to be d”. And it was filled with questions to which the answer was really fairly straightforward, but the questions were written in a misleading way. Too much information, sentence structures built like mazes.
Still, it’s a confidence builder and a huge relief. Tomorrow I’ll take the 2nd test and, hopefully, that will be the end of this particular intrigue.
Finally! I'm so glad that you'll have these silly tests behind you soon. I'm not a bit suprised that you did so well.
