Yes, I know that this is out of focus. I also WAY fooled with the color in my little photoshop program to get the green to look to me the way I saw it the day I took the photo. This is what Talented Technical Guy friend Rob calls "Sharing my insanity": it's a very pretty world I live in, albiet a brightly colored one. And that IS one of my goals with photography, to share the way I see the world, even if it it does look a little off kilter to other people! Anyway, The Thursday Challenge this week is "Simple" and this represents the simple pleasure of sitting under a shady tree on a hot day.
And Rob can't think I'm too crazy since he gave me a very nice film camera on long term loan so I can learn a little more about what I'm doing....like getting things in focus!

Lynn, This is a nice image. Good overall exposure. Good color, sharp focus on the main subject, and nice composition. A shallower depth of field to soften the background would add to this already nice image.

Very nice image...I can imagine resting with a good book on a hot summer day under the shade of this tree sipping a nice cold drink while the horses are frolicking in the field...

I, for one, am a huge fan of your "off kilterness" and of your photography...this peaceful photo makes me want to go there and find a moment of peace. I can hear the birds singing...

I swear that it looks in focus to me. Must be my eyes or my monitor or just that it is a small image. Are you sure it's not in focus?

I think it's more an issue with the color fringing around the white chairs. Also looks like the AF focused on the foreground leaves, and the trunk/table/chairs are de-emphasized. Just makes things look a little soft, is all.
Good picture. Nice mood.

The color makes it slightly surreal (in an eye catching way).
