Sunday, The Hub and I went to Ikea to get a display case for the antique booth. We found a good one too, only $60.00. When we were on our way out to pick it up, The Hub went to get a cart. While I was waiting for him, I noticed a key in one of those glass boxes with a steel tool to break it in case of emergency. The key, evidently, was to the wire cage I was looking into, and behind it were huge pipes all labeled with diagrams. I began to read the instructions and try to figure the whole thing out.

When The Hub came back with the cart he found me leaning on my cane staring intently at the pipes. “What are you doing?”

“I’m reading all of these instructions so that in case a pipe breaks or there’s an earthquake or some other type of water or gas emergency I can break the glass, use the key, and shut down the pipes.” I explained.

“Oh.” The Hub said. Then he added, “You know, personally, I’d just LEAVE if any of that stuff happened. But that’s just me.”

Hmm. I’m think I’m starting to understand why my friends say I take on too much responsibility. However, if you’re ever with me and a fire breaks out just follow me – ‘cause you know I know where the nearest exit is!
