"...for a bird of the air will carry your voice, or some winged creature tell the matter..." --Ecclesiastes 10:20

Who is this mysterious winged creature? Light hearted as the air, she laughes at world, the wise, and herself - but watch out if you tread on the humble or the meek. You may find This Winged Creature has told the matter...

I'm Too Old to Have That Much Fun! [Observations]

You can see photograph's of all the drunken chaos that took place at Friend Will's (Almost) 40th Birthday party, on his site, Geren's, Clarks, or Uber-pea's. It was a surprise party, and he WAS surprised!

Jenne did a great job with fantastic food and drink for everyone. There was a cake in the shape of a camera, curtesy of her talented friend Michelle, who also made a terrific crap dip. There were zombies to drink, curtesy of master barkeep Larry. I didn't have a zombie - but I did have 2 rum and cokes. That's a LOT for me. Conclusion: I'm too old to have that much fun.

Anyway, Friend Will is a happy, entertaining person when he's drunk or sober. He continued to keep us all laughing even when he wasn't exactly able to get up off the floor. He knighted a couple of the male guests with the so called "entrapment staff" he got from a tricker treater a few weeks ago. ( Long story) I met a fellow named Steve who drew a hilarious cartoon of his dog, an Iggy ( that would be an italian greyhound) The Hub enjoyed the good beer - but was still able to drive home. Since practically the whole CMPG was there, we all talked a lot of photography: but the guys have been kind and so far not published any photos of the Winged Creature in which it is really obvious how much weight I need to lose.

Jeepers! There's nothing like seeing a photo of yourself not standing up straight, kind of slouching around, waving your hands, a la party talk, to inspire a diet! There's one photo Clark took that I ought to buy from him and post on the door to the snack cabinet as a deterrent. Yikes!

He's getting to be a pretty good photographer, by the way. It was very funny to see him shooting practically everything Friend Will did, papparrazi style. Clark even sat down with him on the floor and fed him cake! Now that's friendship!

MM, the shadowy figure from Friend Will's site, was there with his wit as sharp as ever. I met another Mike who told me the fun story of his recent wedding cake which was shaped like a cicada! It was a party full of fun, creative, people. I wonder how we got invited? Almost all of Friend Will's friends are way cooler than me and The Hub.

Well, nevertheless, we were happy to be there, thrilled to be part of the surprise, and have been updated on our limits for alcohol consumption - always I good thing to be aware of before the holidays!

Lynn, you are way cool and don't you forget it! Crap dip aside (just kidding - it was very good!) I'm just glad I'm not the only one who didn't feel cool! Is there such a thing as coolness classes?
