Well, now The Hub is on drugs. He wrenched his back on Friday, much worse than he's done any other time, and simple anti-inflammatory drugs weren't doing it for pain control. So he went to the ER and they gave him...well, who knows what all, but he's been asleep for like 12 hours. Before that he was VERY mellow.

Oh well, that's better than grumpy and in pain. For everybody.

The cockatiel has a teal towel! I don't know why - I find that funny and fun to say. And I haven't had any drugs. Anyway, she likes her towel / cage cover. She settles right down for bed even in a strange place. Smart little bird.

I wonder who does press for weeds? You know ,I saw a whole bunch of cat-tails planted up at Pizza Hut and now people are planting ragweed in their gardens. Now they're "native grasses" I mean, I'm all for native grasses and even think dandelions are beautiful ( did you know that they used to be a crop - you had to get the seeds by mail order?!?!)....but still. It's one of those weird changes that makes me feel old. (sigh)
