"Cliche" [Observations]

I guess this is what all novice photographers do: try to capture the colors of the sunset on the clouds...but never quite. So that's my submission for Theme Thursday's "cliche".
In other news, when I had my picture taken at the MVA this morning it broke the camera....
Really. No word of a lie. Not just the camera froze but the whole computer system went "phlut". I was the last person to have my photo taken at the MVA this morning before their entire computer system on the driver's licencing side crashed. Not being able to wear a watch is mildly embarrassing, but screwing up the whole MVA on account of electronics not liking me is a whole 'nother thing.
Okay, I know I really don't have that kind of "power" ( at least, I don't think I do). They were having computer trouble when I went in there, so the wait was dreadful, though no one could fault the employees. So who thinks I had bad luck because I went to the MVA and had to wait all morning because their computers were slow, and who thinks I had good luck since I was the last person to get my licence before the whole system crapped out? Personally, I think the person who had the WORST luck was the patient soul just behind me in the que!
I knew another lady who couldn't wear watches as well. She wouldn't even try one on. She said it would break. Do you have any idea what causes this to happen? Do you give off some kind of electric rays? I wonder if anyone has ever done a study.
Posted by: Becky at July 2, 2004 5:49 AMI think it's interesting that you can fry watches and muddle credit cards and the like, but your digital camera works just fine.
Posted by: GerenM at July 2, 2004 9:59 AMActually, I bet that if I "held onto it" for an extended period of time ( i.e. carried it around in my pocket as opposed to my hand bag) I could fry it too. I actually saw one of those lanyard sting things I considered getting...but then I realized it would rest on my chest or under my arm...and I didn't get it for that reason!
