I think it could be time for me to upgrade my wardrobe. The other day - shortly after the sticky parakeet situation, in fact - Dad stopped by for a visit.

As you know, my dad is a very "with it" kind of senior, not some doddering old guy who doesn't get out much. In fact, he gets out more than The Hub and I do.

I came to the door to let him in and he said, "Oh, are you getting ready to leave for work?" That's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask.....except that I was wearing my nightgown with a cardigan sweater thrown over it for warmth. We're not talking about a "nice" nightgown either. We're talking about something made out of sweatshirt material....which made me think of all the other stuff I have made out of "durable" and "practical" sweatshirt material. And I don't even have the excuse of having kids!

At least it didn't have syrup on it. I don't think.
