A few days ago, I saw a posting on Craigslist.org from some guy claiming to be from the future, specifically, someplace called "Ethos" (you'll see why that, in and of itself is funny in a moment).I was going to post a link to it, but I think it's been taken down. He was offering to exchange information about the near future for funds to fix his time machine.

Of course, I thought it was a joke - something someone had put up on a dare to see if anyone really is that desperate for stock tips....and my second thought was that if anyone was the combination of stupid and greedy it would take to believe such a thing then they deserved whatever they got.....

Upon reflection, though, I wondered if it might not be some poor soul who actually THINKS he is from the future, and whose toaster, though it still talks, has so far not been able to take him home.

It was only today when I went looking for the link that it dawned on me that this may have been an actual scam.....about which I suppose if a person is the combination of stupid and greedy to POST such a thing then they deserve whatever they get!

I know I say this a lot, but it seems more and more true each day: people are crazy.
