What Am I? Flypaper for Freaks? [Job Outside The Box]
I have a breather calling me. Only he's not calling me, he's calling AATH. I guess this is the downside of having those signs made for the car.
But, in a twist on obscene phone calls that could only happen to me, he doesn't do his thing when I pick up. He leaves me a message. He's never used the same phone number twice. I don't know if he works in a large office, or if he's just a dedicated Breather, or what. All I know is that I wind up listening to about 15 seconds of heavy breathing that someone left on my messages, just to make sure that it isn't some elderly person in really bad shape, or one of my existing clients calling me for help from out in public somewhere ( i.e. "I went to the mall, I'm out of breath and I can't get home")
What I really want to know is....
what kind of breather leaves a message? Isn't the whole point of being a breather ( if there is a point to being a breather) to hear the other person getting more and more upset and frustrated or whatever?
I realize that the individual who is giving me the obscene phone calls is the person with the problem, but I still have to wonder about myself: how come I can't even attract a normal deviant?!
Okay. That question makes no sense whatsoever. But you know what I mean!
Sigh.
Two words - "Caller ID". If they're blocking their number, use the companion service that screens calls from blocked numbers.

Posted by: Rob at April 19, 2005 9:57 AMI'm speechless, so to speak! A heavy-breather who leaves a message? It's too weird...don't know what to do with this one. Me thinks you need different flypaper!
