"...for a bird of the air will carry your voice, or some winged creature tell the matter..." --Ecclesiastes 10:20

Who is this mysterious winged creature? Light hearted as the air, she laughes at world, the wise, and herself - but watch out if you tread on the humble or the meek. You may find This Winged Creature has told the matter...

Marketing Even! [Job Outside The Box]

Cooler today, thank goodness. Still, not getting a lot accomplished. Waited to see if we get any "miracle mail" today - that is, mail with a check in it....but, no, just the Exxon bill. Plan B - roll change!

This wouldn't be the first time I've been down to the pennies and nickles in the sofa cushions: I've been here many many times. But not The Hub. He's been Mr. Middle Class his whole life, so he gets really freaked out. He's downstairs, re-screening doors for customers.

I also have to physically go up to the cable company to tell them that I am not paying for service I haven't had since March and also get them to come get our cable box. But, notwithstanding that it's not my normal practice to go into places of business and behave like a crazy person, I feel I really do have to watch what I say and do locally. It won't do to be known as the "Loco Local Avon Lady"

Hopefully, just being physically present and "in somebody's face" will be enough to get action, which I have never been able to do in about 40 million phone calls that I have made to these people. Note to anyone within range of Adelphia Cable: Their Service Stinks. Of course, everyone I know who has those satellite dishes has them fall off the side of their house, give up the ghost during the rain, etc.

I think The Hub really misses television, but I don't. I know I ought to have it to watch those organizing shows and try to stay current, but it just turns into such a time sink and SO not worth the money.

I put my first Avon order in that was over $200 today. Yay! The bad news is that, to meet the goals I've set for myself every other order from now on will have to be about $575. Which means I need to get in touch with about 50 new customers. Hmmm. Anyway, I wrote a little "blurb" with suggestions about how to enjoy the warm weather to stick in with this campaign's catalogs. I'm going to go make some copies of it ( after I roll the change, of course). The last time I "personalized" the catalogs I had a significant upsurge in contacts. Maybe it helps people see me as a real person so makes it easier for them to call me. Wow, this is like marketing even!

Am I multi-talented or what? Okay. Probably just "or what?"
