"...for a bird of the air will carry your voice, or some winged creature tell the matter..." --Ecclesiastes 10:20

Who is this mysterious winged creature? Light hearted as the air, she laughes at world, the wise, and herself - but watch out if you tread on the humble or the meek. You may find This Winged Creature has told the matter...

The Return of the Hub! [Interior Life]

The Hub is home! Yeah!!

I can stop wandering around the house aimlessly, trying not to think anything. The dog can stop stress shedding: there were little piles of dog hair every place before I went to the hospital this morning.

Thank you, ALL for your support, e-mails, prayers, good thoughts, and kind words. It did both of us a world of good to know that people were thinking of us. It made everything a lot more bearable.

While we don't yet have the results of the blood tests for the cancer markers, the fact that The Hub responded to a medical treatment for a blockage lends credence to the idea that it is just scar tissue...

He will have a colinoscopy in the next few days, which may reveal more about the problem. My brother was teasing him, since he said he had gotten a tomato that still has it's sticker on it in a salad at a local Chinese restaurant that they'd send the scope in there and find out it was the rest of the sticker :"ring on key 4"

More realistically, another possibility is that The Hub had food poisoning, and that because of the scar tissue, it caused a local recation at the site where the scarring took place. Either way, The Golden Palace, which is under new management is now completely OFF our list of places to eat!

We now return to our regularly scheduled life: where we worry about car insurance, how many show rooms took the tile, when Sears is going to have the shock absorbers for the jeep, the expense of getting the photos ready for the gallery show, fighting with PayPal to get the $ I'm owed for a trinket box I sold on line, and am I really the only person still alive who knows who Peter Lorre was?

It was amazing how important all that stuff seemed on Thursday morning and how stupid it all seemed on Friday morning....and how welcome they seem to me now. Sweet, small worries.

May we always keep such perspective!

Good news, y'all. Glad to hear that things are back on a somewhat more even keel.

First of all, I'm glad Will is doing better. I will continue to pray for him.

I remember Peter Lorre- I saw him the another night in a movie of Poe tales. Lorre challenged Price to a wine drinking contest, and Price and Lorre's wife fell in love. Lorre's character walled up the wife and Price (and a black cat) at the end.

I am so glad that things are looking up for you and the Hub!

I'll keep praying for even better news but am so glad that at least the Hub's home. I'm familiar with the void created when suddenly there is a missing Hub (or Pet).

I'm so glad that The Hub is home! I know what you mean about small worries being so great. Sometimes life can feel so hectic and overwhelming until disaster strikes on a completely different scale. Afterwards, hectic and overwhelming suddenly seems comfortable and normal.

BTW, Mom said that she has Will on the prayer list, so everything will be fine. They've had lots of miracles.

Yaaaay!! I didn't check blogs all weekend so I was in the dark until this AM, but I'm so relieved for you both. Go Hub Go!
