"...for a bird of the air will carry your voice, or some winged creature tell the matter..." --Ecclesiastes 10:20

Who is this mysterious winged creature? Light hearted as the air, she laughes at world, the wise, and herself - but watch out if you tread on the humble or the meek. You may find This Winged Creature has told the matter...

The Verdict.... [Gardening]

Well, okay, it at least looked like food by the time I got it onto my plate. The Hub agreed to take over as photographer for this historic moment in "The Battle of The Beets" ( for anyone just tuning in who wonders what the hell this is all about scroll down to "We've Got the Beets" and start reading from there). But, as you can tell by my not-altered-in-any-way photograph the best thing I could say about these things, even with such a good recipe is that they were edible.

The Hub and the dog, though, found them quite good. Winston, the dog, got a big ole helping on top of his dog food & ate all of it. GOOD dog, Winston!

This just goes to show-except for strawberries, you can't trust a food that is red! Tomatoes are the worst red food offender, of course.

Hmmm, Tea, the woman who is fine with bats, spiders, snakes and enormous dogs....
The woman who will not think twice about defending the rights of the weak and the oppressed....
She who is willing to clean strangers' bathrooms and skillfully tackles the IRS...
She is scared of -tum ta tum!- beets!

Aw, come on. Beets are wonderful bits of rooty goodness! A little butter and salt and you have a fine colorful addition to any dully colored meal! You just can't beat 'em!

Well my dear, props to you for trying them anyway. It takes a strong person to try give another chance to a food they know they hate. I will NEVER do that with liver. Yay for you!

I hope that the recipe at least, proved successful.

Oh, The Hub loved the recipe! I'll make it for HIM any time...I think.
