Bless my soul! These things ( the beets) are DISGUSTING. They smell like dirt. I've managed to get 3 of them sliced up and into the pot, but at what cost? Okay, it's true the only casualty on my side is my jacket, but still, look at my hand!! ( and you anatomy freaks who are cruising the web looking for clinodactyly photos can see mine from another angle - bonus) I DID wash my hands but this beet juice won't come out.
