"...for a bird of the air will carry your voice, or some winged creature tell the matter..." --Ecclesiastes 10:20

Who is this mysterious winged creature? Light hearted as the air, she laughes at world, the wise, and herself - but watch out if you tread on the humble or the meek. You may find This Winged Creature has told the matter...

Bless This Nest [Gardening]

bless this nest.jpg

It appears that Birda is back. We learned that mother robins stop sitting on the nest at night when the hatchlings get to be about 7 days old, but we did see her bringing some nice juicy grubs in ( Hey, Birda, use the side yard!!)

The photo isn't exactly award winning nature photogrpahy, but it's hard to take pictures of birds in the dark ( the only time I'm ever home these days) You can't see them all, but we counted 4 beaks in there. They're growing really fast!!

These birds should fledge in about 6-8 more days. They're already getting their "robin colors" and feathers. No wonder Birda doesn't roost in the nest any more - there wouldn't be any room in there for her

I think The Hub and I will be kind of said when they fly off. Then we really will be empty nesters.
