Sigh of Relief [Dog Blog]
Winston did great at the vet. Dr Hatchling, our excellent vet (of course that's not really his name. He just really really looks like a hatchling bird....and I think he'd be delighted to hear anybody say so since he really loves avians, and has had a crow for years) said that it is clearly a case of "stud tail" - basicly an infection of the oil gland dogs have at the base of their tail. He did a very thorough exam anyway, though, before perscribing an antibiotic, which we now have to get into the dog.
When all else fails, we use peanut butter.
Winston thanks all of his friends for their support!
Good old Winston.

Posted by: gloria at October 25, 2007 6:52 PMPeanut butter sounds like a good idea.
After all, according to Mary Poppins " a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down," so maybe peanut butter works the same way for dogs.
At any rate he deserves a little treat.
YAY! We hope Winston heals quickly!
