I was as good as my word and hosted (hostessed? ew, that can't be a word - sounds weird....though Donna assured me that "et" is in the scrabble players dictionary as a legitimate word, the past form of "eat". Was she kidding? She's very smart, you know. Anyhow, we done et a lot today) a party for The Hub to celebrate his return to good health.

Although some of our friends couldn't be there, many of our dear friends and family made it out to celebrate with us. We had chicken wings, fruit salad, little mini-halloween candies ( this is a crowd that can talk about politics for hours politely and respectfully but kinda-sorta fight over the Goetz Caramel Cremes. I mean, we weren't really fighting...but, you know there was a level of passion. Come on, these were CARAMEL CREMES!!) and a lot of fun. Winston, of course, enjoyed untold handouts and slobbered on all of our guests. If you want to know who your true friends are -get a mastiff. Your true friends are the ones who will come visit you anyway! I think he may have eaten a little too much stuff that is not usually on the mastiff diet (i.e. Goetz Caramel Cremes), but he doesn't seem too much worse for wear.

And now, it's crunch time! Got to get those photos matted and fully ready for the gallery show on 10/21. Ugh. I'm tired already.
