All the Good News That's Fit to Print.... [Blog]
Time to look on the bright side!
1. I had a phone interview with Friend Will's company, and it seemed to go well
2. The Green River Killer has been apprehended ( I'm reading Ann Rule's Green River Running Red)
3. I am not on the run from Cylons, out of water, or having to make my way back to my unit in an enemy space craft (...and watching the Battlestar Gallectica DVD in the evenings)
4. The Hub...
may be over his "Desperate Housewives" addiction. While he had been going downstairs to do laundry or work on some vauge but terribly important woodworking project right about the time DH popped up on his little workshop t.v. the last time it was on he stayed upstairs with me.
5. The parakeets, who had been having a major parakeet squabble and sulking in seprate areas of Pair-a-Tweeter-Manor seem to have made up and were grooming each other on Sunday. I wonder if it had anything to do with Desperate Housewives.
6. After about a month without rain, we got about 7 inches over the weekend. Okay, so then everything flooded...but the point is, we got rain!
7. We located a "Jack's I-Pod" radio station at work so I don't have to listen to the same song at the same time every day and further risk losing my mind on the job.
8. Winston let me clean out his ears last night, decreasing the probability of "heliocopter ears" at 3:00 a.m. when we're trying to sleep. However, it must be said that he is still going through a major episode of snoring. Do you suppose they make c-pap machines for dogs?
9. The Hub fixed the garbage disposal. His tendancy to never throw anything away resulted in us having another garbage dispsosal just hanging around in the basement, which he put in with a minimum of problems. I'm always on his case for having too much stuff sitting around, but you've got to give the guy credit -- how many people can just go into their basement to replace their garbage disposal?!?!
10.The incidences of screaming arguments in the hallways at the job are increasing....this is a good thing, because it serves as a reminder that I'm doing the right thing looking for another job. And, since I'm not going to stay here....I can just look at it as entertainment.
Will missed Desperate? Oh no! Have him call me and I'll give him the dish.

Posted by: Will Burnham at October 11, 2005 10:41 AMI got word from the lady you had the phone interview with. She is impressed and she is working today on setting up the next phone interview with the manager you'd report to! You're doing real good my friend.
Peace and a big hug,
--Will
Great news on the interview! You go, girl! as they say. Looking at jobs as entertainment is actually very healthy. I forgot to do that at my last job...the next one, I'm going to just see it as an episode of "Desperate Employees."
