Yep, we're hosting Donna and Geren's cockatiel, Kiah, while they're away on vacation. The Hub was sure that Kendi, our Senegal, was going to go mad with jealousy, but so far she's just been very curious. Actually, I think she's happy to have somebody to talk to besides the pair-a-tweeters during the day when we're not here. Besides, it turns out that Kendi speaks cockatiel. She must have learned at Petco before she came to live with us.

Kiah was initially a little nervous about the large mastiff nose that kept stopping by her cage, but now she seems to be over it. Winston, the dog, however, seems to wish I hadn't done such a good job of cleaning out his ear wax. When everybody gets chattering and squalking he keeps giving me this look as if to say "It's a jungle in here!"
