Tis the Time to Flock Together [Bird Blog]
I think the flock of crows who lives near my exit on 795 - they like it because there's, er, plenty to eat by the side of the road there - are having company for the holidays. When I went past there yesterday, there were almost 15 crows hanging around there.
Meanwhile, the crows that live in the trees near my house seem to have left town. I wonder if they went to visit relatives.
Oh, and there was a whole flock of geese who came to visit the pond behind the condos. Only there was no water in it because of the drought. They honked a lot, wandered around, and finally gave up and left.
I hate it when the roadside stop I was counting on when on a long trip south isn't there any more. Hope they'll be home for Christmas....if only in my dreams.
