K-Bird has discovered toast and jam - the all natural kind of course. Like most mothers, I'm into natural food. So what if my kid has feathers?
Anyway, she looks really cute with jam on her beak. I don't look too cute, though, with little jam stains, in the form of little Senegal bird prints, all over my white pants.
Sigh.

That bird runs the house.

It became obvious this weekend that our bird will be running our house soon, too! We missed little Kiah-bird, and are talking about taking her with us next time.
Cats - which I've always had - are very independent and, as long as there are food and water somewhere in the house, they're very self-sufficient. Kiah-bird, however, is entirely dependent upon us for her well-being. We are her flock -- and that only took us about...oh...three minutes to figure out?
