Here's a good story with a happy ending - though a real reminder of why you ought to trim your birds wings or put him in a travel cage if you're going outside. This blue and gold macaw decided she wanted to take a little vacation to the shore. They probably didn't have to catch her and put her in a box - after she flew that far and had been away from home that long the guy probably could have just put his arm out and said "Step up". Of course, blue and golds are seriously large macaws with no-kidding beaks...so people are understandably shy about going up to one. Bet she won't want to go out again any time soon! She's thinking "Yep, stay home, hang on the perch, eat some macadamia nuts, get a nice head scratch and heads-under-wings for nap time."
