We talked to the realtors and lowered the price of the house another $2,000 today. So far we've reduced the price by a total of $7,000 all with the same results: lot of traffic but no offers. Somebody is going to get a heck of a deal.
Which isn't to say that people don't want the world. Susan said, "I get about 10 calls a day since we put the 'reduced' sign up, but they claim to be shocked by the price. The last person said 'Oh, I thought it would be about $125K'. I said, 'There's not a house in Westminster priced less than $200k'!"
It's always encouraging to hear the the general public thinks your house is over priced by $100K. The realtor says to take heart, that half of the time people like that call just for something to do. Still, I mostly feel like going to the ladies room and committing hari kari with a letter opener.
Not really. I'd never create such a mess for the cleaning people!

i'm sorry things aren't looking up on the sale side. i can't believe anyone is naive enough to think it would only be $125K!!! C'mon, people! You can't even get a cardboard box for that price in THIS region!
Geren and I keep dreaming of what we'd do (add a full bath and an apartment-stack w/d on the second floor) if we could buy it. but alas and alack, our budget isn't much over the $125k.
it's too cute a house to remain unsold!

if only county people had your vision! The Hub and I had favored closing in the carport and doing a "FROG" - that's "finished room over garage". ah, the dreams of the good old days :-)

Hmmm... and we'd talked about how great closing in the carport would be, too .... Great minds, and all that.

G & D - I bet that a creative real estate agent could figure out a way to get you in there.
T- Do you have an assumable mortgage?
Tell me again - How come you haven't rented it out?
