"...for a bird of the air will carry your voice, or some winged creature tell the matter..." --Ecclesiastes 10:20

Who is this mysterious winged creature? Light hearted as the air, she laughes at world, the wise, and herself - but watch out if you tread on the humble or the meek. You may find This Winged Creature has told the matter...

Is Rubber a Food Group? [All Things Housing]

Incidentally, dogsindepth.com gives this description of the temperment of mastiffs: "sensative, good natured, dignified, easy going, gentle, tender, couragous, docile, and laid back. Some can be shy" I don't know if that's close to my personality or The Hub's...but it is a pretty good decription of Winston. Well, unless he thinks he might get part of a Christmas cookie - at that point, he can become pretty intense!

We did take the house off the market on the 21st. The Hub is going to start to work on the kitchen, in earnest, after Christmas. Today, for some unknown reason, he took down the ceiling fan during breakfast. I mean, it's cool. He has to take the ceiling fan out to do the project....I just don't know why he did it while also making a bagel and drinking coffee.

I often try to put myself in other people's shoes to understand why they do things...but The Hub remains a mystery to me....

and, apparently, I am mysterious to him, too, though I have no idea why. I guess a little mystery keeps romance alive. At least, it keeps a certain level of alertness alive - I almost wound up with several gromets in my peanut butter and had to prevent Winston from eating a screw which had fallen on the floor. He was very indignent that it was not a small piece of toast, and looked up at The Hub as if to say "Hey! This is when food is supposed to fall on the floor, not that other stuff!"

We got feedback on the last two showings of the house. One was "very charming, customer is mildly interested" the other was "needs too many upgrades". Oh well. At least that's more informative than what we got before. We'll get this kitchen project completely finished and be back on the market on Jan 21. Our realtors say that if they get any direct requests during the 30 days it's off they can certainly call us and arrange a showing.

This morning a sock got stuck in the drain to washtub so the washer overflowed and The Hub had to clean it all up with the wet/dry vac. We were certainly glad that we didn't have anybody coming to see the house today!

Well. Onward and upward!
