"...for a bird of the air will carry your voice, or some winged creature tell the matter..." --Ecclesiastes 10:20

Who is this mysterious winged creature? Light hearted as the air, she laughes at world, the wise, and herself - but watch out if you tread on the humble or the meek. You may find This Winged Creature has told the matter...

At Last! [All Things Housing]

We made it through settlement! It looked like it was going to be another non-starter since the guy who was buying the house was surprised by the sudden appearance of $1,700 on his side of the settlement sheet. And not too many people have that much as a “cushion” in their checking account these days – at least not too many that I know.

I thought the guy was remarkably calm about it. He did call his mortgage broker and ask that he fax a copy of the good faith estimate that contained the figure. But he had originally gotten that good faith estimate about six months ago, and he had talked about all kinds of different programs with the guy in the meantime. You’d think someone would feel an obligation to go over, in detail, the figures for the program he chose before he sat down to go to settlement. Of course, when he got the fax it was on there, so what could he say? He wrote a check. I hope it doesn’t bounce!

He said he was going to put a Jacuzzi where the frog pond is now. Oh well. Nothing lasts forever.

At long last you can relax and let go. I'm sure the frogs will be fine...I can see them lounging in the jacuzzi now...although the new owners might not find that too amusing! : )

HUZZAH! Congrats & enjoy paying off those bills! I've heard that Edith Wharton, when once asked about her new-found notoriety with its accompanying financial security, said something like, "It is a queer feeling to be able to pay one's bills. I'd have sold my soul for it a year ago." Anyway, congrats again, & I'd be happy to join Theresa in helping with a new frog pond!

Commas should be removed from the English language.
